Here is one story behind this announcement
Everything started when he was doing his taxes. I was working very hard on some poster designs. My laptop (Mac Book) flaked out. I kind of ignored the problem for a couple days. Even though I backed up all my files, just in case. Then Rob lent me his laptop Mac Book Pro. I started to think about buying a good desktop like Mac Pro. But it was way above my budget. I said myself that is quite pricey for me. Rob kept talking about how much he can save in taxes if he is married. He even showed me some graphs and charts. It is very convincing numbers. He offered me buying a nice engagement ring. I still said no as usual, what will I do with a ring? We even Google about it, how crazy it was the ring prices. They suggest to men, they should spend two months of salary for the ring! Are they crazy or what? How useful a ring is? I always leave them around, loose them in different places. I never understand why women go crazy about rings. I never had engagement or marriage ring. Total bizarre idea to me.We were going to travel again, since I was thinking to get a small laptop, he bought me an Idea Pad. A red Lenovo S10, it has 10.2 inch tiny screen, it is very cute indeed, yes, yes I know it is Windows!). It is a perfect little laptop that I can read my ebooks, listen music and see my photos when I am on the road. Finally we went to Apple genius bar and left my white Mac Book there, all alone for a week! I did glance at Mac Pro, I have to admit it. Then we went to Oregon Garden Hotel for Valentines, it was our five year anniversary of being together. He asked me to marry him during the couples massages at the spa. I was not actually listening him. It was very hot in the room, these strange relaxing soothing music and lavender smell must effect on my brain. I said yes, I thought he was asking me give him a towel. I gave him the hot towel, he said something about Mac Pro that I should accept as my engagement ring. Ahhh, Mac Pro I said, great sure, fantastic fast machine (what did I hear who knows). On Sunday he insisted we should go check my laptop at the store, it has a broken logic board. We went genius bar in downtown. I was so surprised when, he bought me a Mac Pro 8 cores without any hesitation. How generous of him!
So according to him we engaged 14th February at the hotel. We came back our flat and played with our new tools. Since he bought me every designer's dream machine, I had to get him something. It is important to me that to be fair. So I bought him a Bose speaker set for his computer and a bose in ear headphones with an iPod shuffle. As a result we decided to get marry on vernal equinox, just because he is an American Indian and astronomy lover that would make sense. I guess that is the summary of this story. By the way he says perfectly tabii tabii canım. I guess he is ready for our version 2.3. Mine will be version 2 , his will be version 3.
